last 10 hours in<\/p>\n
sickness to renew<\/p>\n
my health<\/p>\n
I am playing<\/p>\n
catch up<\/p>\n
challenging my<\/p>\n
mind and my hands<\/p>\n
and my mouth<\/p>\n
to produce<\/p>\n
poetic undertakings<\/p>\n
of heart and<\/p>\n
soul<\/p>\n
no sleep<\/p>\n
no success<\/p>\n
no stories<\/p>\n
left to tell<\/p>\n
until this last one<\/p>\n
is written<\/p>\n
the words pouring out<\/p>\n
like morning coffee<\/p>\n
percolating in the<\/p>\n
machine and the cream<\/p>\n
and sugar on the counter<\/p>\n
blending to perfection<\/p>\n
tasting like heaven<\/p>\n
each sip more sweeter<\/p>\n
than the last<\/p>\n
yet the first sip reminiscent<\/p>\n
of each tender moment<\/p>\n
shared across the<\/p>\n
screen, and the<\/p>\n
keyboard<\/p>\n
stroke after stroke<\/p>\n
of professing minds<\/p>\n
unleashed thoughts<\/p>\n
unspoken feelings<\/p>\n
to strangers<\/p>\n
capturing the moments<\/p>\n
creating the moods<\/p>\n
calling the moments<\/p>\n
to be still<\/p>\n
for a short while<\/p>\n
here in the corner<\/p>\n
of peace and quiet<\/p>\n
where all the house<\/p>\n
is in REM sleep<\/p>\n
and even the dog<\/p>\n
has returned to<\/p>\n
melodic rhythms<\/p>\n
of slumber<\/p>\n
I write, I breathe<\/p>\n
and I exhale my<\/p>\n
life lessons on a<\/p>\n
crisp clean sheet<\/p>\n
of promise and<\/p>\n
hope and declare<\/p>\n
the world is my oyster<\/p>\n
the truth of my story<\/p>\n
is mine to tell<\/p>\n
my words to expel<\/p>\n
and my heart does feel<\/p>\n
compelled<\/p>\n
to gather the heart<\/p>\n
of the matter<\/p>\n
upon paper<\/p>\n
watching colors of<\/p>\n
ink splatter and<\/p>\n
to share with the<\/p>\n
world my stringing<\/p>\n
of words, that will<\/p>\n
bring light and life<\/p>\n
to humanity<\/p>\n
