{"id":28565,"date":"2016-08-14T08:10:24","date_gmt":"2016-08-14T12:10:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=28565"},"modified":"2016-08-14T08:10:24","modified_gmt":"2016-08-14T12:10:24","slug":"my-first-marathon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2016\/08\/my-first-marathon\/","title":{"rendered":"My First Marathon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s that time again<\/p>\n<p>Black Friday<\/p>\n<p>The sun has set.<\/p>\n<p>Some haven&#8217;t seen a bed in six days<\/p>\n<p>Because they&#8217;re waiting for bargain<\/p>\n<p>Everyone is out there<\/p>\n<p>Wating, keeping track<\/p>\n<p>Soon it will be dawn<\/p>\n<p>And they willl conquer<\/p>\n<p>Malls, castles, stores and halls<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile<\/p>\n<p>In my bed I lie asleep<\/p>\n<p>Feeling like I counted too many sheep<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t believe I did it<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t believe I did it<\/p>\n<p>Months later and it&#8217;s<\/p>\n<p>Still amazing<\/p>\n<p>My first Marathon<\/p>\n<p>Fills my mind with<\/p>\n<p>Appreciation<\/p>\n<p>For sleep and for food<\/p>\n<p>For friends and for good<\/p>\n<p>Even though some of the day<\/p>\n<p>Had ruined my mood<\/p>\n<p>Everyone else was asleep that day<\/p>\n<p>Like I am now, safe.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s that time again Black Friday The sun has set.
