Company<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It\u2019s the witching time of night,<\/p>\n

or did I miss it in a flurry<\/p>\n

of paper and purple ink?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This early morning hour is tricky<\/p>\n

because<\/p>\n

out of the corner of my eyes I<\/p>\n

am constantly seeing<\/p>\n

people who<\/p>\n

are not there \u2013<\/p>\n

in the physical sense.<\/p>\n

I feel them keeping me company<\/p>\n

while I write and<\/p>\n

the family sleeps.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And while I am sure<\/p>\n

I\u2019d be comforted<\/p>\n

for the company,<\/p>\n

my physical<\/p>\n

and mental exhaustion<\/p>\n

made me jumpy<\/p>\n

while I write<\/p>\n

and the family sleeps.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So, I\u2019ll tip my hat,<\/p>\n

to the inspiring spectres,<\/p>\n

and thank them for<\/p>\n

the camaraderie,<\/p>\n

but it\u2019s time to<\/p>\n

finish up<\/p>\n

what I write<\/p>\n

so I can get some sleep.<\/p>\n
