Not all the parts have to be explicitly about the person, some can describe there dress and behavior, others can make more obscure references to their style of speech. The details are entirely up to you.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0My friend from youth we rode and hiked and laughed and cried together \u00a0Wrote our teen age sappy poems. \u00a0Thought we would change the world<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>2. \u00a0Tall and lanky, strong like her ancestors.<\/p>\n<p>Braver than anyone I ever knew.<\/p>\n<p>3. \u00a0Few of spoken word, \u00a0secrets no one could know&#8230; writer of the secrets of the earth.<\/p>\n<p>4. \u00a0Jeans, \u00a0Boy shirts, boots and tees. \u00a0Gypsy skirts, fringes and her red brown feathers.<\/p>\n<p>5. \u00a0Legs longer than I was tall. \u00a0I tagged along every time she called. \u00a0Double stepped to keep up.. always looked up&#8230; to her and at her. \u00a0My friend who stood and was tall.<\/p>\n<p>6. \u00a0Army Sargent. \u00a0I didn&#8217;t know that life. \u00a0She became army, \u00a0I became a wife.<\/p>\n<p>7. \u00a0 Poetry kept us through early years, \u00a0after the army, \u00a0it brought us together again.<\/p>\n<p>We now center our visits around one workshop or the other. \u00a0Still trying to write it all.<\/p>\n<p>8. \u00a0The years have been kind. \u00a0She is beautifully young.<\/p>\n<p>Even her grey hair with liveliness is s spun.<\/p>\n<p>Her eyes twinkle the fire of what she has and has not seen.<\/p>\n<p>Her land is the world and she is the queen.<\/p>\n<p>9. \u00a0 Her hands shake as she cares for her mom.<\/p>\n<p>Where did the mental illness come from?<\/p>\n<p>Her companion is fear, \u00a0every day could be worse.<\/p>\n<p>She does not crumble even under this curse.<\/p>\n<p>10. \u00a0My friend Angela, \u00a0traveler, guide and hero<\/p>\n<p>Strong beyond words. \u00a0Strong with words.<\/p>\n<p>Write for me Angela, \u00a0tip each quill in your heart,<\/p>\n<p>For in you is pureness&#8230; of which we all need a part.<\/p>\n<p>Take each quill and hold it til it speaks secret things,<\/p>\n<p>and write your words Angela until the the word sings.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The prompt for hour eleven is to write a poem about someone, but to break the poem up into ten short numbered parts.
