So here is a test run with a poem I wrote this weekend. As a bit of introduction, I took my parents to visit the Holocaust Museum this past week, and out of that this poem arose.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Aktion T4<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In October of 1939<\/p>\n<p>Hitler instructed doctors and hospitals<\/p>\n<p>to murder<\/p>\n<p>the mentally challenged<\/p>\n<p>the physically handicapped<\/p>\n<p>those incurably sick<\/p>\n<p>all those considered <em>lebensunwertes Leben<\/em> &#8211; \u201cunworthy of life&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>At first, they were just to be denied medical care and nourishment<\/p>\n<p>to die slowly of neglect<\/p>\n<p>Later, patients were injected, or gassed<\/p>\n<p>to make the process quicker<\/p>\n<p>By the end of 1941<\/p>\n<p>93,521 hospital beds had been emptied by the policy<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There were several suggested reasons for the program:<\/p>\n<p>It reduced suffering, therefore it was compassionate<\/p>\n<p>It cut costs<\/p>\n<p>It eliminated pressure on the welfare budget<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Hitler was making Germany great again<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dear Mr. Trump &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Your health care bill is so slow<\/p>\n<p>killing the undesirables by denial of medical care<\/p>\n<p>And, besides, some weak or low energy people<\/p>\n<p>might slip through<\/p>\n<p>A program like this bigly guy&#8217;s (he was huge, let me tell you!)<\/p>\n<p>would be much more cost effective<\/p>\n<p>Think of the savings!<\/p>\n<p>And how compassionate<\/p>\n<p>when these people, uncomfortable to look at<\/p>\n<p>are finally gone from your sight?<\/p>\n<p>I suggest you call your program<\/p>\n<p>Action Trump4<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I plan to cut and paste my work from word documents, and I want to see how that might go, make sure I know what I&#8217;m doing.
