I plan to cut and paste my work from word documents, and I want to see how that might go, make sure I know what I’m doing. So here is a test run with a poem I wrote this weekend. As a bit of introduction, I took my parents to visit the Holocaust Museum this past week, and out of that this poem arose.<\/p>\n

the mentally challenged<\/p>\n
the physically handicapped<\/p>\n
those incurably sick<\/p>\n
all those considered lebensunwertes Leben<\/em> – \u201cunworthy of life”<\/p>\n At first, they were just to be denied medical care and nourishment<\/p>\n to die slowly of neglect<\/p>\n Later, patients were injected, or gassed<\/p>\n to make the process quicker<\/p>\n By the end of 1941<\/p>\n 93,521 hospital beds had been emptied by the policy<\/p>\n <\/p>\n There were several suggested reasons for the program:<\/p>\n It reduced suffering, therefore it was compassionate<\/p>\n It cut costs<\/p>\n It eliminated pressure on the welfare budget<\/p>\n – Hitler was making Germany great again<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Dear Mr. Trump –<\/p>\n Your health care bill is so slow<\/p>\n killing the undesirables by denial of medical care<\/p>\n And, besides, some weak or low energy people<\/p>\n might slip through<\/p>\n A program like this bigly guy’s (he was huge, let me tell you!)<\/p>\n would be much more cost effective<\/p>\n Think of the savings!<\/p>\n And how compassionate<\/p>\n when these people, uncomfortable to look at<\/p>\n are finally gone from your sight?<\/p>\n I suggest you call your program<\/p>\n Action Trump4<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I plan to cut and paste my work from word documents, and I want to see how that might go, make sure I know what I’m doing.
