The Marathon<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>All the excitement, building to a crescendo.<\/p>\n<p>I awake early and I know it is not in vain.<\/p>\n<p>With a short prayer<\/p>\n<p>I calm my body and brain .<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Marathon has begun.<\/p>\n<p>12 hours to write 12 poems.<\/p>\n<p>I reach deep into my inner self<\/p>\n<p>so that my heart in inspiration, freely roams<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Oh! What an achievement!<\/p>\n<p>With my fellow poets, to be writing.<\/p>\n<p>Around the globe, all at once<\/p>\n<p>poetic prose, to be composing.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>No blood, no sweat, no tears<\/p>\n<p>when running this poetry marathon.<\/p>\n<p>Just a sense of comraderie with your fellow peers.<\/p>\n<p>See you all at the finishing line.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Anwar Suleman<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2.
