And hear the buzz of insects<\/p>\n
And songs of jays and mocking birds.<\/p>\n
I can smell the ditch too, sloped banks of clay<\/p>\n
give it an earthy smell, so nice!<\/p>\n
I see the picnic park and playground<\/p>\n
At the end of the street.<\/p>\n
I bet those city kids wished<\/p>\n
they could live is such a swell place.<\/p>\n
And just out the gate, a country<\/p>\n
store and gas station. Wish I had a dime<\/p>\n
For a soda and moon pie.<\/p>\n
Let\u2019s see, 5 soda bottles will do it.<\/p>\n
Have to start watching for them,<\/p>\n
so I can treat myself each day.<\/p>\n
As I lay on this thick carpet of San Augustine grass<\/p>\n
I know it will make an excellent football field<\/p>\n
For a pickup game with all the kids around.<\/p>\n
Gee, wonder what else I can find<\/p>\n
