At length, you and I are endlessly drawn
\nYou of the sun and I of the sea
\nSlipping through sunsets and rising at dawn
\nFlames crave to be quenched, and only by me<\/p>\n
Water drips from my eyes every night
\nWater cleanses each burning, every harm, every slight
\nWater connects me always to all beings that are
\nWater surrounds us, no matter how far<\/p>\n
Roil and boil in our yearning to grasp
\nGroping to touch as hearts at distance clasp
\nFire and water barely meeting, and then
\nInto the ether, we rise again<\/p>\n

As soft as I am when I wash over you
\nAs hard as I come when my fury’s released
\nI fall every day as the morning dew

Can you claim what is mine with all your soul’s heat?
\nCan a sun claim an ocean and neither retreat?
\nCan two beings so strong make a life that will last?
\nCan two such hearts meet, make a love unsurpassed?<\/p>\n
