Today is the anniversary
\nOf my non-existence.<\/p>\n
I yearn today
\nfor the life I should have had,
\nThough some days I forget.<\/p>\n
I forget who I am<\/p>\n
And why I was stolen.<\/p>\n
Other days I laugh
\nAt the absurdity of their
\nMachiavellian natures.<\/p>\n
Self-aggrandizing,
\nBored to treachery.<\/p>\n
Tears? Those are mine.<\/p>\n
At least they were
\nAt one time,
\nBack when I could cry \u2013<\/p>\n
When I thought tears were of any use at all.<\/p>\n
Most days, though,
\nI yearn for what exists:
\nThe life I\u2019ve given to this world,<\/p>\n
And the love I have, never ending, to give.<\/p>\n
Some days I think
\n\u201cI love\u201d,
\nThen I wonder what,
\nExactly,
\nIs it that I love?<\/p>\n
I don\u2019t know, really.
\nI just love.<\/p>\n
I love.<\/p>\n
I am love.<\/p>\n
My name is Love,<\/p>\n
Or so I was told
\nOnce,
\nBy a man unseen by most.<\/p>\n
