\nBeach umbrellas lined the shore in multihued rows,
\nmirroring the shore’s sweeping curve and assuming
\nthe waves will never reach their ordered lines when in fact
\nchaos creeps closer at each pass, and will soon overwhelm.<\/p>\n

\nthe hair of my baby’s head clockwise swirls, within
\nmy belly once upon a time his spine curved as he grew,
\nand nebulae swirl their majestic starry arms, all ordered
\nto Fibonacci, the scientific dreamer’s, sequence.<\/p>\n

\nWe glimpse a hitchhiker with long, dark hair in
\na flashing, clear instant as we pass on the highway,
\nshe on her journey and we on ours, not sparing
\nanother thought until her picture flashes on the news,
\na match to our memory, her death intersecting our lives,
\none path ending while our own goes on.<\/p>\n

\nSo easy to believe in the moments when I see myself
\nthat this life will go on just as it is, it will continue
\non its smooth course, though even without trauma,
\nwithout any interrupting drama, this life changes day
