My country tis of thee,<\/span><\/p>\n

you birds of a feather that flock together<\/span><\/p>\n

leaving our poor in need. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The sin becomes sacred: in God\u2019s name we bleed,<\/span><\/p>\n

but we need religion to make us better<\/span><\/p>\n

as our leaders are born baptized in greed. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Divide us up by color and creed!<\/span><\/p>\n

Crime makes a profit, so turn up the pressure<\/span><\/p>\n

leaving our poor forever in need. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If war is good for our economy <\/span><\/p>\n

then why are veterans homeless in winter<\/span><\/p>\n

as our leaders are born baptized in greed?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Don\u2019t dare say the word \u201cdemocracy\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

when our voting system is bent to your pleasure<\/span><\/p>\n

leaving our poor forever in need. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Arrest the protesters storming your street<\/span><\/p>\n

so you can pretend our problems are lesser<\/span><\/p>\n

and our leaders can stay baptized in greed. <\/span><\/p>\n

It never stops– the inequality breeds<\/span><\/p>\n

as you birds of a feather flock together,<\/span><\/p>\n

and our leaders are born baptized in greed,<\/span><\/p>\n
