In this trip down the memory lane
\nI closed my eyes for just a second
\nAnd there I was, in that park
\nSitting on our special bench<\/p>\n
Waiting as usual, for you to come
\nSo that we could talk about our dreams
\nDreams, in which you would be a great artist
\nDreams, for me, which changed, every day<\/p>\n
Was it our age difference that made you mature?
\nWas it the beauty of your art, that made us friends?
\nFriends, who were each other’s backbone
\nFriends, who shared everything under the sun<\/p>\n
Today, that bench, stands alone, in that park
\nAt the dot of six, it doesn’t feel our touch
\nWith both of us, in different countries now
\nHas it been two decades already, in this very life?<\/p>\n
A decade of friendship on that bench, two decades apart
\nTime surely flies, and we race, to keep in pace<\/p>\n
