{"id":34668,"date":"2017-08-05T14:08:35","date_gmt":"2017-08-05T18:08:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=34668"},"modified":"2017-08-05T14:08:35","modified_gmt":"2017-08-05T18:08:35","slug":"tiny-dancer-pt-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2017\/08\/tiny-dancer-pt-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Tiny Dancer pt. 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I\u2019ve lost him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Today, I danced for him,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">But there was another present.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">His lips brushed hers,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Her hands touched him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I\u2019ve never seen him so happy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">They were together in ways I could never dream.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Their eyes sang beautiful songs together.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">No matter the music though, I didn\u2019t feel much like dancing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Darkness came to my world, and like that I froze in place.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If he ever returns for me, I will be so very happy. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I will be waiting for him with bright eyes and a cheerful smile.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">My heart runs for him and for him alone, and not even this stranger<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Could ever, ever take that away from me. I would journey the earth for him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">But until he decides to wind me up again, my world will return to the cold darkness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Such is the fate of a tiny dancer. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019ve lost him. &nbsp; Today, I danced for him, But there was another present. &nbsp; His lips brushed hers, Her hands touched him.
