no noisy cats or barking dogs<\/p>\n
I get the sense that I have not<\/p>\n
done what you wanted<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I think about parts<\/p>\n
of some art that don\u2019t<\/p>\n
exist in poetry<\/p>\n
like sequels<\/p>\n
like covers, renditions<\/p>\n
like remakes, adaptations.<\/p>\n
Think of some for painting<\/p>\n
in the library of all art.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I remember the light in the library,<\/p>\n
sequences of relaxation.<\/p>\n
Use your hands to climb the stairs.<\/p>\n
These are running together now,<\/p>\n
like we did, bad kids<\/p>\n
who were fully adult.<\/p>\n
I can\u2019t write the sequel poem<\/p>\n
but I remember the first time<\/p>\n
I wrote this poem<\/p>\n
about him in another library, of law<\/p>\n
