You can tell by the petrichor in the air.<\/p>\n
It gives off somewhat of a poignant odor,<\/p>\n
Something which hasn’t graced our presence in<\/p>\n
Quite some time.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But we don’t relegate ourselves to the indoors.<\/p>\n
We’re better than that. Instead, we charge out there<\/p>\n
And feel the full force of nature pounding our skin ,<\/p>\n
Letting us know how inconsequential it can become.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We let it all seep in until it becomes part of us,<\/p>\n
Until we can’t tell where the rain ends and we begin.<\/p>\n
When all is said and done, we’ll cross the threshold once more<\/p>\n
And let nature be the eyes we have since disregarded,<\/p>\n
Staring profoundly out the window,<\/p>\n
