So often, I wish I could weep.<\/p>\n
It’s not as easy as it sounds, if<\/p>\n
Broken, for so long, as I have been, you<\/p>\n
Hold your pieces together, tightly, as if you must<\/p>\n
To survive. Everyone is hurt by parting.<\/p>\n
What if that was all there is?<\/p>\n
What if there is no heaven or hell?<\/p>\n
I found this poem on the back of a photo but<\/p>\n
I didn’t know who wrote it, who’s life<\/p>\n
Had been reflecting these words, so it goes.<\/p>\n
We all end up carrying on and on<\/p>\n
Regardless of our experiences, so,<\/p>\n
As long as you have breath, sing,<\/p>\n
As long as you sing, smile as well.<\/p>\n
