Wedges himself<\/p>\n<p>into the carrying case he used to avoid.<\/p>\n<p>Someone has hurt him? Of course someone<\/p>\n<p>has hurt him. Then he had a good day, or two,<\/p>\n<p>breezing the city streets, summer swinging,<\/p>\n<p>but now he doesn\u2019t raise his right ear<\/p>\n<p>to the word \u201cwalk,\u201d doesn\u2019t glance up at<\/p>\n<p>the rattling of his leash, doesn\u2019t leap<\/p>\n<p>to a treat. You know how he feels.<\/p>\n<p>And you know how long it can go on.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes you wonder: what can we<\/p>\n<p>do about this pain?<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes you go to bed.<\/p>\n<p>As for Rimbaud, give him another day.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>8.
