{"id":36311,"date":"2017-08-05T16:55:18","date_gmt":"2017-08-05T20:55:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=36311"},"modified":"2017-08-05T16:55:18","modified_gmt":"2017-08-05T20:55:18","slug":"i-wonder-where","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2017\/08\/i-wonder-where\/","title":{"rendered":"I Wonder Where?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I Wonder Where?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I wonder where<\/p>\n<p>it is<\/p>\n<p>I can go to see the<\/p>\n<p>people I hear wailing?<\/p>\n<p>Being of different cultures veils them from me like a wall.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>They may think I don&#8217;t care for<\/p>\n<p>them at all.<\/p>\n<p>But the<\/p>\n<p>hearts in us are our mothers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And there are many who<\/p>\n<p>are forced, who gave<\/p>\n<p>away what they could not<\/p>\n<p>and don&#8217;t ever pretend it was freely.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Not just I.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Many think we did<\/p>\n<p>what we could but really did not.<\/p>\n<p>And search our country&#8217;s past to find<\/p>\n<p>what is a fountain pen blot that<\/p>\n<p>wrote our history books. That which has been anointed<\/p>\n<p>to us as truth.
