\nNo jury trial here.
\nBut I am called for jury duty.
\nI don\u2019t want to order any heads cut off.
\nOh No, it\u2019s up to me to decide.
\nWho is telling the truth?
\nAre the police discriminating against this person?
\nWhere is Justice?<\/p>\n
I hate meetings and committees.
\nWhat will happen if I disagree with the other 11 jurors?
\nWill they be angry with me?
\nShould I try to persuade them?<\/p>\n
Oh oh oh. It\u2019s just a straight forward case.
\nTry to look at it the way most people do.
\nIt\u2019s my civic duty.
\nI\u2019m a fair minded person, intelligent and empathetic.
\nMaybe they won\u2019t want me because I\u2019m bipolar.
\nHow dare they discriminate against the mentally ill!
\nI\u2019ll be on that jury just to show them about equality!<\/p>\n
I hope I can stay awake without fidgeting.
\nWill I get in trouble if I don\u2019t behave the way they want?
\nIronic if I am on the jury and wind up in jail.
\nI wouldn\u2019t be happy in jail.
\nNobody is happy in jail.
\nNo jail for anybody.
\n\u201cOff with his cuffs!\u201d
\nEverybody gets a free pass from Paul today.<\/p>\n
It says here to go online to check whether I am needed.
\nThat\u2019s a nice touch.
\nI don\u2019t want to be waiting in some jury room all day.
\nThey say to check back to see if I\u2019m needed in the afternoon.
\nI\u2019m feeling a bit disappointed.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m excused. I\u2019ve fulfilled my obligation for this year.
\nI feel a combination of relief and disappointment.<\/p>\n
