Sunflowers on Blue<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
There is winter’s gray,<\/p>\n
which can be white with cold.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Spring shakes off my doldrums,<\/p>\n
emerges from mud and muck<\/p>\n
and screams me awake.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Grows up into summer, it’s<\/p>\n
big brother of color, like<\/p>\n
sunflowers on blue sky.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
My garden dances in certainty.<\/p>\n
Its certitude not lost to me.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Fall is forgotten.<\/p>\n
Who sees that far ahead?<\/p>\n
or ever gets old?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
This moment is frozen.<\/p>\n
Its all that there is.<\/p>\n
It’s all I will ever have.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
And bright colors are hiding<\/p>\n
though it may look much like gray.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
