The wolf is sarcastic,<\/p>\n<p>Ebullient. Fearless. Trin is not.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Perhaps I need a wolf<\/em>, I think. An alter ego<\/p>\n<p>To remind me what is possible: courage<\/p>\n<p>And a sense of the absurd.<\/p>\n<p><em>The wolf did it,<\/em> Trin tells me, when<\/p>\n<p>He kicks the back of my seat.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This is what I will say when asked<\/p>\n<p>About my own deviance:<\/p>\n<p><em>The wolf did it. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Just this.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My grandson says a wolf lives in our car.
