<\/p>\n
A half marathon of poems,
\nI did not imagine this day.
\nSitting focussed and writing,
\nNot letting myself go astray.<\/p>\n
A dozen poems drafted,
\nSome happy, some silly, some sad,
\nA starting place for many,
\nSome really not half bad.<\/p>\n
The finish line in sight,
\nAn exhaled breath of relief.
\nA goal achieved in writing,
\nDefying the thoughts of defeat.<\/p>\n
The words were hard some hours,
\nSome poems easily did flow.
\nThe dream of writing flowers,
\nThe hope of more poetry grows.<\/p>\n
Vulnerable at times,
\nTo let people see.
\nThe creative writing person,
\nThe heart upon my sleeve.<\/p>\n
Silence oh inner critic,
\nYou have no place today.
\nWriting is a talent,
\nFrom it I should not stray.<\/p>\n
Giggles did occur,
\nLaughter did ensue.
\nVictory accomplished,
