Hide my eyes, show my back. Don\u2019t stare at my low-heeled shoes or the cut of my Victorian clothes (dark, floor length, pleated). Imagine where I\u2019m going \u2013 down this hall or that. Consider the angle of the floor \u2013 is the wood parquet slanting up into space?<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t worry about who is speaking \u2013 Cassatt or the other woman with Miss Cassatt. You may not know \u2013 you can\u2019t see my face.<\/p>\n<p>Whose paintings do you imagine Edgar thinks I am looking at?
