{"id":38475,"date":"2017-08-05T20:24:48","date_gmt":"2017-08-06T00:24:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=38475"},"modified":"2017-08-05T20:24:48","modified_gmt":"2017-08-06T00:24:48","slug":"prompt-twelve","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2017\/08\/prompt-twelve\/","title":{"rendered":"Prompt twelve"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I took a long walk<\/p>\n<p>Down this old road<\/p>\n<p>The one that curves left<\/p>\n<p>Then right<\/p>\n<p>And ultimately disappears<\/p>\n<p>If only for a moment<\/p>\n<p>But in that moment<\/p>\n<p>Was it despair or delight?<\/p>\n<p>Feeling lost<\/p>\n<p>No boundaries<\/p>\n<p>Exhilarating<\/p>\n<p>Terrifying<\/p>\n<p>My breath escaping me<\/p>\n<p>Yet my eyes entranced<\/p>\n<p>Partly wanting direction<\/p>\n<p>Mostly needing adventure<\/p>\n<p>Walking slower the further I travel<\/p>\n<p>Enjoying this moment<\/p>\n<p>Time was released<\/p>\n<p>Dusk was coming quick<\/p>\n<p>But I had no worry<\/p>\n<p>My hands explored the new-found foliage<\/p>\n<p>As my heart grew in bounds<\/p>\n<p>My breath returned to me ten-fold<\/p>\n<p>I was never really lost<\/p>\n<p>My heart now found<\/p>\n<p>No map was needed<\/p>\n<p>To find this moment<\/p>\n<p>Just a long walk<\/p>\n<p>An old road<\/p>\n<p>And eyes that could see<\/p>\n<p>What an old soul<\/p>\n<p>Desperately needs<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; I took a long walk Down this old road The one that curves left Then right And ultimately disappears If only for a moment But in that moment Was it despair or delight?
