Made a man mad<\/p>\n
Because this always could just flow<\/p>\n
How boring introspection is when you’re self ascribing<\/p>\n
The bed was a doctors table<\/p>\n
And the man I did not know<\/p>\n
Someone who wanted to connect<\/p>\n
But instead I took a low blow<\/p>\n
Carelessly, cheated him from self-discovery<\/p>\n
Slapped him across the face of his ego<\/p>\n
Because he wanted to really just be a poet<\/p>\n
Instead of a doctor and if I had not cheated<\/p>\n
We would have related but no<\/p>\n
New to this sort of game has been the only mantra I know<\/p>\n
Things take time<\/p>\n
And that is actually okay<\/p>\n
Perhaps I should have told him<\/p>\n
Writing was the only way out of living<\/p>\n
But I cheated – God gave me an exit gift<\/p>\n
