I ran and ran but got nowhere,<\/p>\n
when I looked down I had no feet,<\/p>\n
but wings that took me to my heart,<\/p>\n
that in my dreams so warmly beats;<\/p>\n
all around me colours whirl,<\/p>\n
like flashing lights sent to remind,<\/p>\n
that once my world was dark and bleak,<\/p>\n
but my wings help leave that world behind;<\/p>\n
it’s when I wake and look around,<\/p>\n
I realise each day is a new chance,<\/p>\n
to step toward the lights of life,<\/p>\n
and live it like a merry dance.<\/p>\n
