{"id":40115,"date":"2017-08-05T22:50:02","date_gmt":"2017-08-06T02:50:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=40115"},"modified":"2017-08-06T01:15:25","modified_gmt":"2017-08-06T05:15:25","slug":"hour-14-prompt-14-a-rainy-adventure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2017\/08\/hour-14-prompt-14-a-rainy-adventure\/","title":{"rendered":"Hour 14 &#8211; Prompt 14 &#8211; A rainy adventure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was looking forward to the weekend<br \/>\nafter a hectic week, juggling work<br \/>\nand traffic due to torrential rains<br \/>\nThe forecast predicted a breather <\/p>\n<p>Nature enjoys throwing in a mystery<br \/>\nThe day had been relatively clear<br \/>\nWe ventured out in the evening, to play<br \/>\nin the park and visit a nearby mall<\/p>\n<p>And then it poured &#8211; with umbrellas<br \/>\nflying off under the force of wind<br \/>\nThe raincoats were tested by the storm<br \/>\nThe children huddled together under shade of shops<\/p>\n<p>We got down from the auto rickshaw and raced<br \/>\nthe last few steps, when I slipped and fell<br \/>\nOn instinct, I put the weight of my body<br \/>\non my elbow. And ouch! that really hurt <\/p>\n<p>A few frogs jumped in front of us, and we<br \/>\nstared in awe. Back home, we raided the jars<br \/>\nfor a few biscuits.
