{"id":41162,"date":"2017-08-06T03:24:26","date_gmt":"2017-08-06T07:24:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/?p=41162"},"modified":"2017-08-06T03:24:26","modified_gmt":"2017-08-06T07:24:26","slug":"not-meant-to-be","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thepoetrymarathon.com\/blog\/2017\/08\/not-meant-to-be\/","title":{"rendered":"Not Meant to Be"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Space is ever-expanding, always holding more and more mysteries to explore and analyze.<br \/>\nBut there might be areas of that endless expanse where Mortals were never meant to trod.<br \/>\nPlaces whose very existence or site would burn through their souls,<br \/>\nCorrupting their very existence,<br \/>\nAnd transforming them into unnatural beings that strayed from an evolutionary path that had been specified in genomes and DNA.<br \/>\nDarkness from that cold vacuum of space would seep in and infect beings that were never made to stray too far from their sun,<br \/>\nWho thrive on warmth and Light,<br \/>\nKline its way into them and altering them to be unrecognizable and horrific.<br \/>\nSo maybe the gimmick of exploration and Discovery past the eye, and telescopes, and space shuttles can see was never meant to extend so far.<br \/>\nMaybe Darkness shouldn&#8217;t be left alone, to hold its own dominion, over its own patch of space.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Space is ever-expanding, always holding more and more mysteries to explore and analyze.
