This new poem is demanding space<\/p>\n
Its own room actually<\/p>\n
It insists I clean out cobwebs<\/p>\n
And put new sheets on the bed<\/p>\n
It insists on regular meals<\/p>\n
A full deep cleaning<\/p>\n
Hourly sprucing up<\/p>\n
It demands its own shower for new ideas<\/p>\n
It wants room to expand, grow<\/p>\n
To evaporate and come back again<\/p>\n
It wants it all,<\/p>\n
This poem wants it’s own space<\/p>\n
every bit of attention<\/p>\n
It has baggage<\/p>\n
It has trunks full of memorabilia<\/p>\n
This poem needs space<\/p>\n
and I am forced to give it<\/p>\n
I don’t expect it to help with the rent either<\/p>\n
