the loss of earth\u2019s reliable time. Tick, tock,<\/p>\n
there is nothing to be done, held<\/p>\n
as we are in individual bodies, capsules<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
molded to our fragile skin, then sealed<\/p>\n
as if ticking bombs, unpredictable,<\/p>\n
easily detonated, then dispersed into darkness.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I read the remaining book, again and again,<\/p>\n
seeking clues \u2013 anything that might explain<\/p>\n
what we think we are supposed to be doing.<\/p>\n
