And false pretext.<\/span><\/p>\n

She’ll run away?<\/p>\n

A friendly smile across the room,<\/p>\n

His words help you to fight the gloom.<\/p>\n

He reassures\u2014<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cYou stand there waiting for a coach,<\/span><\/p>\n

You needn’t leave, I\u2019ll not encroach. <\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019ll make sure you’ll get home safe.<\/span><\/p>\n

I wish someone had done the same<\/span><\/p>\n

For my own Jewel.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You’ll be okay,<\/span><\/p>\n

You needn’t cry.<\/span><\/p>\n

You\u2019re safe to look me in the eye.<\/span><\/p>\n

Just stay awhile.<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019ll help you smile.<\/span><\/p>\n

Perhaps you\u2019ll even laugh a while.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sweet music I\u2019ll provide for you.<\/span><\/p>\n

You only need to like it too.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lift up your fan and hold my hand,<\/span><\/p>\n

Take wing to an enchanted land.<\/span><\/p>\n

Perhaps a waltz on crystal sand,<\/span><\/p>\n

Now that we\u2019ll do.<\/span><\/p>\n
