From my windows<\/p>\n
I saw a snake<\/p>\n
It was slipping around unnoticed<\/p>\n
in poetry marathon pages<\/p>\n
it was looking for my neck<\/p>\n
to constrict my free speech<\/p>\n
but i outflew it<\/p>\n
and landed right in middle<\/p>\n
making more trouble<\/p>\n
than a snake or even monkey<\/p>\n
they want to give me a name<\/p>\n
make memes out of it<\/p>\n
and memorabilise<\/p>\n
my entry and exit<\/p>\n
This window seat<\/p>\n
gives me the vantage<\/p>\n
to enjoy the view<\/p>\n
and laugh along<\/p>\n
till<\/p>\n
I shut it close<\/p>\n
and storms in tea-cups<\/p>\n
seem mild<\/p>\n
compared to howling winds<\/p>\n
in tunnels of ears<\/p>\n
whoooo, whooooosh,<\/p>\n
shhh, shhhhh, shhhhhhh<\/p>\n
is it the sea receding<\/p>\n
or the sea-shells on benaulim beach singing<\/p>\n
Through my window I spy<\/p>\n
you under umbrellas yellow and blue<\/p>\n
competing<\/p>\n
using what i wrote<\/p>\n
to gain green cards<\/p>\n
but forgetting<\/p>\n
it is an artificial sea bowl<\/p>\n
the man in the ship on the other side<\/p>\n
is the time-keeper<\/p>\n
He is useless<\/p>\n
when it comes to gaurding the coast<\/p>\n
he’s let in<\/p>\n
the dark crows who see it all<\/p>\n
with red raven eyes<\/p>\n
