A choice is given to every man it seems.<\/p>\n
A choice to rise.<\/p>\n
A choice to flee.<\/p>\n
Even a choice to bend the knee.<\/p>\n

But my choice was taken from me,<\/p>\n
on that long ago day beside the sea.<\/p>\n
The final thrust of my enemy’s blade,<\/p>\n
proved more than my body could take.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I blame my Thane,<\/p>\n
but he did not strike the blow.<\/p>\n
I blame my luck,<\/p>\n
too fickle a thing to reliably flow.<\/p>\n
I blame the gods,<\/p>\n
but they are all dead,\u00a0their souls lost below.<\/p>\n

Without choice I make my way in this world.<\/p>\n
Wondering if the god’s were alive,<\/p>\n
would they notice me here below.<\/p>\n

A lowly man with a limp and one arm.<\/p>\n
Surely I could do no harm.<\/p>\n

But the gods are dead,<\/p>\n
