Hey so I had sent in my submission for the anthology. My poem Cafe Writer from hour 6 is the one that got in after my revision. But I thought I would post both of the poems I had sent in for submission. I had a hard time choosing poems to work on and I had liked Cafe Writer a lot when I first wrote it and Text You Close I had fun writing so I ended up picking those two to send in.<\/p>\n

Hour 6<\/div>\n
Cafe Writer<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Words slipping free of my pens.<\/div>\n
Stories unfolding from depths of thoughts.<\/div>\n
Stretching to fill the page.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
But my stories are left half done.<\/div>\n
Pen unsure of what is coming next.<\/div>\n
All action gone to calm quiet.<\/div>\n
The hero losing the need to save.<\/div>\n
Story frozen and left in a file.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
My eyes glance around the cafe.<\/div>\n
Everyone living a story.<\/div>\n
Maybe some writing new ones too.<\/div>\n
Some also only getting half down.<\/div>\n
Not able to finish the story.<\/div>\n
Maybe the end is too sad.<\/div>\n
Or it became too cliche.<\/div>\n
Or maybe I am the only one lost.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Hour 23<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
Text You Close<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
It’s weird to miss you.<\/div>\n
Since we were never that close.<\/div>\n
But we got closer before I left.<\/div>\n
Something was different.<\/div>\n
We started to talk.<\/div>\n
We shared something others didn’t.<\/div>\n
This side of me I haven’t told my friends.<\/div>\n
You understood me in a way different from others.<\/div>\n
I wish we could actually sit and talk in person.<\/div>\n
But being able to text is better than not.<\/div>\n
