we\u2019ve been swimming in these waters all our lives but we don\u2019t need a lawn chair and we definitely don\u2019t need a hibachi<\/p>\n

and we won\u2019t be defecating on the shores<\/p>\n

this place was open to you once upon a time<\/p>\n

You were welcome every day<\/p>\n

to splash in the waters and watch your children play but now no one\u2019s welcome anymore<\/p>\n

and the police they drive-by<\/p>\n

they\u2019ll take your license plate number and tell you not to return<\/p>\n

But I told the last cop who busted me at the last spot<\/p>\n

i said listen kid, I\u2019ve been swimming in these waters for 40 some odd years and I don\u2019t plan to stop now<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve never gone behind that do not trespass sign because there are far more beautiful places to go<\/p>\n

now those places too<\/p>\n

are overrun with litter and refuse thanks to the New York Times and Vogue<\/p>\n

I won\u2019t be swimming here<\/p>\n

but a few miles upstream you might find me on a hot summer day having walked all the way lest \u00a0my license plate number be caught on their radar today…<\/p>\n
