My name is Katie and this is my first year participating in this event. I will be doing the half marathon as all nighters are way out of my mental capacity!<\/p>\n<p>I decided to register on a spur of the moment decision, because I liked the idea of the challenge. I have been mostly working on my novel-in-progress lately, so I relish the chance to do some poetry and put my creativity to the test.<\/p>\n<p>I have been a writer for as long as I can remember, and it is my dream to one day become a published novelist. I work in marketing in New York City, and spend my commutes on the train reading books from my local library. After taking a long break from creative writing over winter due to the stress of my job, I have recently made it a priority to create as often as I can, even if it isn&#8217;t any good!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi!
