I like to lay in the sun-soaked<\/p>\n
rectangles on the floor.<\/p>\n
I feel so warm-sleepy-happy<\/em><\/p>\n deep inside my core.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I am Cat.<\/p>\n I want to eat the pointy plants<\/p>\n on my window sill.<\/p>\n If the humans could leave me be<\/p>\n I’d have my spiky fill.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I am Cat.<\/p>\n I bring the humans presents<\/p>\n that they quickly take away.<\/p>\n That legless cricket took hard work!<\/p>\n I’ll try again another day.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I am Cat.<\/p>\n I love the soft wet food<\/p>\n they put into my bowl.<\/p>\n The turkey fills my stomach<\/p>\n but the gravy feeds my soul.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I am Cat.<\/p>\n I will catch those birds one day,<\/p>\n that live behind the screen.<\/p>\n But for now I attack the floor<\/p>\n to show them what I mean.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I am Cat.<\/p>\n Sometimes it’s dark and doors are shut,<\/p>\n The humans trapped inside.<\/p>\n But then in morning they emerge!<\/p>\n I am glad they haven’t died.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I am Cat.
