The moonlight shimmered a path across the lake,<\/p>\n

There were stories though, of once upon a time,<\/p>\n
When people disappeared without a trace,<\/p>\n
Some say they lost their minds.<\/p>\n
The wind whispered its secret, rustling through the trees,<\/p>\n
The ones to hear it, would come in twos and threes.<\/p>\n

Taking off their shoes, at the lake they wade right in,<\/p>\n
Disappearing from view at the horizon’s end.<\/p>\n
The morning would come, with a few more empty beds.<\/p>\n
The police would go on searching, always shaking their heads.<\/p>\n

Great grandpa said there was a land where lake a moonlight met,<\/p>\n
