Magic as something real, magic as something imagined, magic in a fictional setting, magic in an urban situation, it can be about how children perceive the world as magic, or possibly magic, anything really. The word magic need not be mentioned, but it can be.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I don\u2019t believe in magic and what some call fate<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I don\u2019t believe in knocking on wood<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nor crossing myself three times<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I don\u2019t believe that seeing a black cat brings me bad luck<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nor does spilling the salt<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I don\u2019t believe in wishing on a star<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I don\u2019t believe in curses, spells, or voodoo dolls<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nor karma righting all wrongs<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I don\u2019t believe Friday the Thirteenth is worse than any other day<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nor is Halloween a night for the dead to celebrate<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I don\u2019t believe staying healthy will add years to my life<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I don\u2019t believe eating an apple each day keeps the doctor away<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nor do I believe there isn\u2019t a cure already for cancer<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I don\u2019t believe an annual mammogram is necessary<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nor do I need a yearly colonoscopy<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I believe you can love more than one at a time, although not very well<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I believe in love that never dies, that distance doesn\u2019t separate<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">And I believe there are those who fall in love at first sight<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I do believe in making every moment count<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">And I believe that love truly does conquer all<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prompt 2, Hour 2 Write a poem about magic.
