a rattle made of dragons’ eggs, powders<\/p>\n
and potions of ground unicorn and gryffin hide<\/p>\n
the mandrake’s cry, the faerie’s kiss<\/p>\n
children drowned in nightdark springs<\/p>\n
warriors hung by the neck from the Tree of the World<\/p>\n
demons clashing their fiery hooves and thrashing their dread horns<\/p>\n
the very peals of armegeddon behind their gnashing teeth<\/p>\n
What a spell I would weave!<\/p>\n
I would then call down the moon and sun<\/p>\n
plait them into a Beast fit to<\/p>\n
pluck the breath from a weeping mermaid<\/p>\n
and spittle from a rose<\/p>\n
Folded once, twice, thrice<\/p>\n
become a blade<\/p>\n
dipped in the fire of a young man’s passion<\/p>\n
annealed in the tears of a widow<\/p>\n
And send my Beast forth so armed!<\/p>\n
