I got a baby sister when I was four<\/p>\n

But like a lot of former “only children” do<\/p>\n

I didn’t want her for very long or to have any more.<\/p>\n

Now she is my very best friend and I am hers, too.<\/p>\n

We moved away to a tiny town<\/p>\n

Into a tiny house while daddy built ours.<\/p>\n

In a cow pasture on the road two lots down,<\/p>\n

Grown green and alive with wildflowers.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

My favorite show was Puffnstuff.<\/p>\n

I watched it every day.<\/p>\n

Jimmy, with his British voice, seemed tough<\/p>\n

Because of his magic flute, that’s what I chose to play.<\/p>\n

Daddy didn’t hurt me anymore after this year.<\/p>\n

Whether he started on my sister then, I am not very clear.<\/p>\n
