And the machines at the grocery store hold precious treasure<\/p>\n
A quarter once could buy a phone call<\/p>\n
Before there was a phone in every purse and pocket to be used at your leisure<\/p>\n
A quarter could be saved away<\/p>\n
Rolled up and taken to the bank when things got lean<\/p>\n
A quarter at the Laundromat<\/p>\n
Could get your clothes washed and clean<\/p>\n
A quarter in the jukebox<\/p>\n
Played fast and slow songs all night<\/p>\n
A quarter at a toll booth<\/p>\n
Keeps traffic moving along alright<\/p>\n
A quarter can be as much or as little as you see fit<\/p>\n
For me it means six hours of work, and eighteen more before I quit<\/p>\n
