from the high shelf<\/p>\n

of a dainty toy store<\/p>\n

the pretty doll looks on<\/p>\n

as kids of all ages<\/p>\n

smile and play and take home<\/p>\n

their new playmates<\/p>\n

friends, even best friends for life<\/p>\n

( or until they overgrow them)<\/p>\n

but that’s all she does<\/p>\n

she would sigh if she could<\/p>\n

oh! how times have changed<\/p>\n

she thinks as she waits<\/p>\n

once a rare treasure<\/p>\n

now she is just another toy<\/p>\n

in mass-production<\/p>\n

left to wait an eternity<\/p>\n

and watch-on from<\/p>\n

the high shelf of a dainty toy store.<\/p>\n
