In our days we will live <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

like our ghosts will live<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Then let us get to work<\/span><\/p>\n

not in the service of <\/span><\/p>\n

squealing like iron and steel on train tracks<\/span><\/p>\n

trundling bodies like product<\/span><\/p>\n

from one place to another<\/span><\/p>\n

like cheap plastics<\/span><\/p>\n

replaceable<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

not in the service of <\/span><\/p>\n

getting ahead by making sure<\/span><\/p>\n

that someone else is behind<\/span><\/p>\n

struggling harder <\/span><\/p>\n

not in the service of <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAt least that\u2019s not me\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

But in the honor of <\/span><\/p>\n

the free, living body<\/span><\/p>\n

life unencumbered<\/span><\/p>\n

aware and inspired<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I want my ghost to live healthy<\/span><\/p>\n

I want my ghost to live in sunsets<\/span><\/p>\n

I want my ghost to be a reminder<\/span><\/p>\n

that there is someone who cares<\/span><\/p>\n

I want my Black ghost to help the kid<\/span><\/p>\n

alive in the projects<\/span><\/p>\n

with their english homework<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In our days we will say <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

what our ghosts will say<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Let pearls of wisdom<\/span><\/p>\n

fall from my living mouth<\/span><\/p>\n

as they will form on the lips<\/span><\/p>\n

Of my ectoplasm<\/span><\/p>\n

To ask you:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What is it that you are wanting in this<\/span><\/p>\n

clamorous and magnificent existence?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Can you see your divinity<\/span><\/p>\n

reflected in the eyes of a newborn?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Can you be a Rose of Jericho <\/span><\/p>\n
