Eleventh Hour<\/a><\/pre>\n
I Talk To the Trees\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n
Trees, extend your sinewy limbs towards me.<\/em>
\nMay I hide my weary spirit<\/em>
\namongst your billowy leaves?<\/em>
\nWhisper to me the message from the Wind.<\/em>
\nWhat did he say,<\/em>
\nWhat mood was he in?<\/em>
\nAs life hurls and whips you to and fro.<\/em>
\nHow do you stand?<\/em>
\nHow do you grow?<\/em><\/p>\n
Who covers you, <\/em>
\nwhen storms rain on your head?<\/em>
\nSo content are you!<\/em>
\nYou still lay in your bed<\/em>
\nsoaking in the deluge<\/em>
\nas nearby boats sank,<\/em>
\nnever murmuring,<\/em>
\nyou stand tall and<\/em>
\nguard your bank.<\/em><\/p>\n
Trees, no raging accusations have<\/em>
\nbeen brought against you!<\/em>
\nOn moist days you receive the rain,<\/em>
\non dry days, you are thankful<\/em>
\nfor the dew.<\/em><\/p>\n
When I breathe, you have life.<\/em>
\nWhen you breathe, I have life.<\/em>
\nLike me you live, and like me,<\/em>
\nyou die.<\/em>
\nYet on your worse days<\/em>
\nyou stagger not,<\/em>
\nnor wonder why.<\/em>
\nYour branches persistently<\/em>
\nreach upward to the sky,<\/i>
\nPraising God,<\/em>
\nYour purpose defined.<\/em><\/p>\n
Trees, embue me with wisdom<\/em>
\nsuch as you have shown,<\/em>
\nDo you too talk to God,<\/em>
\nHave you always known?<\/em>
\nThough you’ve been tossed and blown,<\/em>
\nYou stand strong and firm,\u00a0<\/em>
\nrejoicing that you will one day<\/em>
