I was awoken at 2 a.m. by my Dad,<\/p>\n
“Come on!” he roared, “You have a bus to catch”,<\/p>\n
Startled and confused, I rose out of bed,<\/p>\n
“What bus? For what?”<\/p>\n
He rolled his eyes, “School dummy!”<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I stared at him in horror,<\/p>\n
It was 2.am, for god’s sake!<\/p>\n
I walked downstairs, to the kitchen,<\/p>\n
and made myself a coffee,<\/p>\n
But I didn’t drink it, instead I fell asleep standing up,<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I awoke outside and in a daze,<\/p>\n
To hear an engine call out my name?<\/p>\n
Bewildered, I looked out my front gate,<\/p>\n
And sure enough it was my bus driving away<\/p>\n
I yelled and cried, “Wait for me!!”<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But it drove away without me,<\/p>\n
Until it was just a green dot on the road,<\/p>\n
I heard a faint meowing from behind me,<\/p>\n
I looked over my shoulder,<\/p>\n
It was my cat!<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But it’s eyes were huge,<\/p>\n
And it was stuck in a slinky,<\/p>\n
My eyes widened,<\/p>\n
I had to get him out!<\/p>\n
I rushed over to him,<\/p>\n
But he shrieked and ran away,<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
He ran out onto the road,<\/p>\n
And I chased after him,<\/p>\n
Remembering that I was still in my PJ’s,<\/p>\n
He stopped, and stared at me,<\/p>\n
I picked him up and scolded him,<\/p>\n
But the sound of a horn, caused me to almost drop him,<\/p>\n
I saw the front of the bus just as everything went black<\/p>\n
