And peanut butter near-rhyme meld<\/p>\n
Where Wadsworth, Guest and Tolkien took<\/p>\n
Eggs and sugar, mixing well;<\/p>\n
With an Oatmeal Cookie\u2014Byron style,<\/p>\n
Dickinson\u2019s Tipsy Honeybee Bites,<\/p>\n
Liberal sprinks of imagery<\/p>\n
In Poe\u2019s Nevermore Raven Lites;<\/p>\n
Whipped alliteration well,<\/p>\n
Stirred allusion until fluffed,<\/p>\n
Minced words at combining speed,<\/p>\n
\u2018Til they got buzzing, crunching stuff\u2014<\/p>\n
Folded gently, the page-white whip.<\/p>\n
And licked the bowl (so not to waste);<\/p>\n
Rolled and cut in couplet lines<\/p>\n
Baked for decades\u2014or desired taste.<\/p>\n
Salty, savory, published or not,<\/p>\n
Cookeries, bookeries, bakery fresh,<\/p>\n
Nut-strewn titles, topped with spice,<\/p>\n
