\nwalks through the yard to where one of the men
\ncuts tree branches, all left
\non the sidewalk
\nto block your passing.<\/p>\n
A yard sale across the street
\nlures you to hustle across Hardesty,
\nand although you have no spare dollars,
\nyou walk up the steps to ask a woman who doesn’t speak English –
\nand neither do you speak Spanish –
\n“How much for this shirt?”<\/p>\n
You smile, and allow yourself
\nto revel in a moment’s breeze
\nand walk down the street
\nto the strains of
