Long-closed in our town, with a reputation for ghouls,<\/p>\n
Many decades old, the building underwent renovation.<\/p>\n

Our new teacher looked just like TV’s Wonder Woman,<\/p>\n
All the boys were moon-eyed and drooled,<\/p>\n
Though for nine year-old males, that wasn’t uncommon,<\/p>\n
To see them act like fools.<\/p>\n

I was picked for a new advanced class.<\/p>\n
Only my best friend and I were chosen, what fate!<\/p>\n
One day we were given an all-day pass<\/p>\n
To visit the governor of our state.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
