Everyone knows that there are only four<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

I can name them for you<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

Winter<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

Spring<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

Summer<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

and Fall<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

That is all<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It\u2019s real<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What would the weather be like, then?<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The weather does not matter<\/span><\/p>\n

It is like all of those you\u2019ve named<\/span><\/p>\n

and none of them<\/span><\/p>\n

at once<\/span><\/p>\n

a season out of time<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It is the connective tissue <\/span><\/p>\n

the intricate knitting that holds the <\/span><\/p>\n

whole thing together<\/span><\/p>\n

the spoke and the wheel<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

How can you know?<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Because of the sudden teeming on my skin<\/span><\/p>\n

the alertness of the hairs at the back of my neck<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Because my totality cannot be hewn <\/span><\/p>\n

down into only four parts<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I know it is true because of the contradictions <\/span><\/p>\n
